周末夜狂热》是由约翰·特拉沃尔塔,凯伦·琳恩·高妮,保罗·佩普,约瑟夫·卡利,丹妮·狄龙,贝瑞·米勒,萨姆·科波拉,丽莎·佩鲁索,唐娜·皮斯科等主演，Tony Manero（约翰·特拉沃尔塔 John Travolta 饰）是纽约布鲁克林区一个19岁的青年，白天在一个五金店打工，看起来是一个平凡的少年。然而到了周六晚上，Tony就是当地迪斯科舞厅光芒四射的舞王。Annette是Tony的舞伴，两人本来计划参加舞厅将要举办的跳舞比赛。然而当Tony遇见了Stephanie Mangano（凯伦·琳恩·高妮 Karen Lynn Gorney 饰）后，被她的舞技所打动。Tony向Stephanie求爱遭拒，但是Stephanie同意当Tony的舞伴，和他一起参加比赛。两人每天勤加练习。在比赛的时候两人奉献了精彩的表演，获得了第一名。然而Tony认为有一对搭档舞技更好，只是因为他们是西班牙人而只能获二等奖。于是Tony把第一名让给了他们。比赛结束，Tony再次向Stephanie求爱...... 本...
